Partnering up with Stixx and Dinga in Johannesburg, South Africa and Yung Willis in Nigeria; "Down" was created on location in both Jozi and Lagos as a cross-cultural blend between the sounds and voices of an East African, a South African, and a Nigerian. "Down" was filmed by the famous Nigerian director, Olu The Wave, across four geographically unique locations in Kenya. Using Amapiano as a backbone to the beat, we infused Afrobeats and East African rap to create a new sound we will refer to as "East Afropiano." Artists featured on the track include Lovince Mckenzie from Kenya, Yung Willis from Nigeria, and Goitseone.K from South Africa.
